We fixed that with Blaxel. What is it? A complete computing platform with: - all services for developers to fast-track deploying agents without reinventing the wheel — like framework-agnostic serverless deployments, an AI gateway for model routing and fallback, and custom MCP server hosting. - a flexible low-level API for builders to ship really performant agentic AI using our backbone infrastructure — using services like sandboxed VMs usable by agents, a programmable global gateway, and a 20ms-latency serverless compute engine. - and a seamless developper experience that integrates with their CI/CD, and APIs that can even be consumed by agents themselves!

Problem

Our team of 6 co-founders previously built and sold a data platform to OVHcloud, which eventually became their entire Analytics product suite. What we saw during that time is that the current world’s infrastructure wasn't built for the AI revolution that's coming.

Traditional clouds were built almost 20 years ago. Their architecture and service sprawl weren't designed for agentic workloads. Nor was the UX thought for the developers who build them.

Not only that, but the economics don't make sense anymore. As AI agents become more autonomous, they're racking up huge bills from LLM calls, serverless tasks, and network bandwidth.

In the next decade, we're looking at billions or even trillons of AI agents coming online, each needing computing power, memory, and connectivity in every direction. The world’s current infrastructure isn't just unprepared, it's completely inadequate.

We're creating a new kind of infrastructure. One that's not only built to make agents, but also to be operated by them.

We offer two levels of APIs to give you full flexibility:

1- Our high-level platform lets developers to fast-track deploying agents without reinventing the wheel:

  • AI gateway — with features like token rate limiting or model routing and fallbacks
  • Built-in observability
  • GitHub synchronization

2- Our flexible low-level API gives both builders and agents access to our core compute infrastructure to run agentic workloads fast and reliably:

  • Sandboxes with <25ms boot time — designed for agents to execute code or commands
  • Batch processing jobs
